Well they say "No news is good news."
I don't think so, no news is simply no news, the absence of news, a news vacuum. Not only is it not bad news it is also, by definition, not good news.
And sometimes even bad news is good news, because it stops you from refreshing you internet mail inbox every 3 minutes whilst waiting for news.
try reading whilst listening to an irritating german talking too loud, every minute of every day for the rest of your miserable life.

My advice to you is to ring up recruitment agencies, and lots of them.
I ended up applying for about 50 jobs via online recruitment sites (planet recruit, monster, jobserve, cwjobs etc...) and also - and more successfully - worked out which agencies these jobs were through and then contacted them directly. Then pester the agents. And write 2 versions of your C.V. - a 'technical' one and a 'managerial' one. This seems to be key as some agents reckon that their clients want to see exactly what you can and have done, whilst others want to see evidence of responsibility and leadership.
And don't give up. Obviously if you need free accomodation in London at any time, for any length of time, then we have a spare room and would be more than happy to accomodate you.
